A new girl, a talk and nature journals.

A little later the girls are working on their Journals.

Fantastic job, Peggy sue! We have two chestnut trees in our front yard. You are such a sweet girl to help Edith get through her first day of school. It's nice to start something new with a friend. :o)

I wish we had chestnut trees, but our climate is too dry for them. I can still buy them in the store and enjoy roasting them at Christmas time. Edith is adorable! Is she named for Dare Wright's Edith? Is she new? I am very behind!

About Us

This is a photo story blog primarily about Peggy Sue and Edith her friend

These two girls attend the Schoenhut School of the Arts where they learn all about music, art, drama and live in a world of imagination and fun.

Both girls are wooden dolls made by Schoenhut around 1918.

Peggy Sue has been changed from the original doll, her paint (which was in bad condition) was removed and she has been left in her natural wood state and has had her eyes, teeth and lips repainted. She has simply blossomed into the sweet girl you see today. Edith is in her original condition.
